Product design for B2B software teams

Turn your next feature idea
into a complete design
that fits your product.

Share the goal and product context. We take the feature from user flows to implementation, alongside your team.

Bring your feature
A feature idea, Jira task or rough requirements — anything works.
How Equal turns a rough request into a complete, system-fit feature design
The gap Equal closes

The design work doesn’t disappear. It shifts
to the rest of the team.

Without Equal
PMs
Work through design details.

Every new feature fits and strengthens the product.
How Equal takes a feature forward

You bring the product direction. We take the feature from there.

Your team owns product decisions. Equal handles the design work through implementation.

01 · Understand

Start with a rough request.

We turn it into a clear feature brief—without asking your team to design the solution first.

FAQ

How Equal fits into your team.

The practical questions teams ask before bringing in product-design support.
What do you need from us to get started?

A product goal, the context you already have, and someone who can make the business decisions that belong to your team.

You can bring us a Jira task, a rough brief, or an early feature idea. We work through the requirements, user experience, and design from there.

How involved will our team need to be?

Only at the points where your input is essential.

Your PM or founder helps us understand the product, answers business questions, and gives feedback at key moments. Equal handles the day-to-day design work.

Can you work with our existing product and design system?

Yes. We start with the flows, patterns, and components your product already uses.

We reuse and extend what works, fix gaps when they affect the feature, and avoid rebuilding the system without a clear reason. The new feature should feel like part of your product – not an isolated redesign.

Can you improve the existing UX, or do you only design new features?

Both. If a new feature exposes problems in an existing flow, structure, or interaction pattern, we improve the parts it depends on.

We keep those changes within the agreed scope, so the feature fits the product better without quietly turning into a full redesign.

How do you work with our PMs and engineers?

We join the workflow your team already uses and work directly with the people shaping and building the feature.

PMs stay focused on product and business decisions. Engineers get complete flows, covered states, and direct answers when implementation questions appear.

How do you make sure important states and edge cases aren’t missed?

We design the feature as complete behavior – not a collection of ideal screens.

That means working through roles, permissions, product rules, empty states, loading, errors, recovery paths, and the feature’s impact on existing flows and components.

Every feature passes Equal’s Dev-ready Check. For complex decisions, our design team compares the options and validates the strongest solution before handoff.

What happens when engineering starts building?

We stay involved to answer questions, adapt the design to technical constraints, and keep Figma aligned with the agreed solution.

When we have access to the build, we also review the implementation and help resolve differences before release. Handoff is not the end of our work.

Can you support an ongoing product roadmap?

Yes. We can start with one feature and continue as embedded product-design support across your roadmap.

As we build a deeper understanding of the product, new features move faster while remaining consistent with the flows, patterns, and decisions already in place.

How do you use AI in the design process?

We use AI to synthesize product context, explore design directions, and prototype flows faster. Depending on the task, we use ChatGPT and Claude for analysis and ideation, Figma AI for rapid design exploration and prototyping, and specialized tools such as Higgsfield, Kling, and Suno for visual, motion, and audio concepts.

The toolkit may evolve, but the responsibility does not: an Equal product designer remains accountable for product logic, system fit, and final quality.

Your next feature is already on the roadmap – let’s make sure it strengthens the product instead of adding more complexity.
